Hughes Dental Group has been serving the residents of Campbell, California and the surrounding areas since 1958. Beginning as a single doctor practice, ran by Dr. John A. Hughes, Hughes Dental Group is now a six doctor equally owned practice. Our doctors, which includes: Dr. William Brownidge, Dr. Farnoush Drexel, Dr. Sara Go , Dr. Thomas Hughes, Dr. Lee Loomer and Dr. Clifford Marks, work together as a team striving for one common goal – to help their patients achieve and maintain beautiful, healthy smiles.

William F. Brownridge, D.D.S.
Dr. Brownridge received his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Southern Oregon State College before attending the University of Pacific in San Francisco with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He began practicing at Hughes Dental Group in September of 1979 and continuously strives to provide his patients with the highest standard of dental care available.
Committed to continuing education, Dr. Brownridge maintains memberships with such professional organizations as the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Tau Kappa Omega Dental Honor Society, Santa Clara Dental Society and the Delta Sigma Delta Dental Society.
Dr. Brownridge was born in Santa Cruz and raised in Vallejo, California. He and his wife currently reside in Campbell with their three children. During his leisure time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling and cooking. He also enjoys being involved with his children’s sporting activities such as basketball, soccer, baseball and volleyball.

Farnoush Drexel, D.D.S.
Dr. Farnoush Drexel grew up in Boulder City, Nevada. Her family moved to a small city outside of Las Vegas after leaving Germany. She attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she studied micromolecular biology. In 1999, she matriculated into the University of Pacific, Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. She was one of a handful of students accepted after attending only three years of college.
In 2002 she graduated receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and moved back to Las Vegas. There she practiced dentistry for some years. When she married Dr. Drexel in 2004, whom she had attended dental school with, she became a permanent resident of the Bay Area.
She took over Dr. Derby’s practice at Hughes Dental Group in 2006 when Dr. Derby decided to retire and she has been practicing there happily since.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Santa Clara Dental Society and Disaster Response Society. She keeps up to date on the latest dentistry and takes way more continuing education classes than she is required to by the State of California. She loves her job and gives it all her effort to make sure her patients are happy and healthy.

Sara B. Go, D.M.D.
Dr. Sara Go was born and raised in a small town on Long Island, New York. She received her B.A. degree in Anthropology and Chemistry from New York University. Dr. Go then earned her D.M.D. degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She remained in Boston for a few years to practice before having the fortunate opportunity of meeting Dr. Jim Carter, who recently retired from Hughes Dental Group. Dr. Go moved to San Jose and took over Dr. Carter’s practice in January 2009. Though she has been an East Coaster for most of her life, Dr. Go has quickly found a resonating feeling of home and family in the area she lives and with Hughes Dental Group.
Dr. Go enjoys attending many dental lectures and workshops, always learning new technologies and techniques. She attends the California Dental Convention, the Greater New York Dental Meeting, and Yankee Dental Congress in Boston every year, experiencing different dental ideas from different corners of the country. Nothing excites Dr. Go more than seeing a true transformation in her patients' dental health and looks. And nothing satisfies her more than helping someone who was once fearful and withdrawn become a person of confidence and seeing that patient leave his or her appointment with a smile!
Dr. Go has also participated in humanitarian projects that serve underprivileged people of the world, once traveling to Quito, Ecuador to perform dental work on adults and children of the area.
When not doing dentistry, Dr. Go enjoys reading, watching movies, and also likes to experiment in the kitchen with recipes. She also likes to go hiking, biking, and play (very amateur) rounds of tennis. Dr. Go happily lives in San Jose with her husband, Greg.

Thomas A. Hughes, D.D.S.
Dr. Thomas Hughes is the son of Dr. John A. Hughes, the founder of Hughes Dental Group. He grew up in Santa Clara County and attended UC Davis for his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. After graduating from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1987, he joined his father’s practice and has been delivering outstanding care ever since.
He is dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest trends in the field of dentistry, and maintains memberships with the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Santa Clara Dental Society.
He and his wife live in Saratoga with their son. Away from the office he enjoys hiking and backpacking. An avid cyclist, Dr. Hughes often cycles to and from work. He is also a pilot and a member of the Flying Doctors.

Lee S. Loomer, D.D.S.
Raised in Orange County, California, Dr. Loomer attended California State College at Fullerton, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Biological Science in 1969. He then attended the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1973. Dr. Loomer has practiced dentistry in Campbell for over 25 years – both as an associate of Dr. John Hughes and as a member of the Hughes Dental Group.
Still committed to continuing education, Dr. Loomer attends more than 25 hours of continuing education courses yearly and maintains memberships with numerous prestigious organizations, including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Santa Clara Dental Society and the Tau Kappa Omega Dental Honor Society.
He and his wife live in Los Gatos with their four children. During his spare time, he enjoys camping, running, traveling and history.
Dr. Loomer enjoys his opportunity to serve the families of Campbell and surrounding areas – especially following the lives of his patients and their children as they grow and succeed in life.

Clifford O. Marks, D.D.S.
Dr. Marks attended the University of California, Berkeley for his Bachelor of Science degree prior to graduating from the University of the Pacific with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After being associated with various dental offices, Dr. Marks joined Hughes Dental Group in 1988. He specialties include, but are not limited to, cosmetic dentistry and tooth replacement dentistry.
Hughes Dental Group is unique among most dental offices in that our team of professionals truly are friendly and care about our patients. In keeping with this tradition, Dr. Marks voluntarily performs dental procedures for the underprivileged and underserved residents of certain local skilled nursing facilities.
A native of the Bay Area, Dr. Marks enjoys spending his free time with his wife, son and daughter. He is a voracious reader who likes to stay up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of dentistry.

Alisa
Alisa graduated in 2003 from Foothill College where she received her A.S. degree in Dental Hygiene. Alisa began working at Hughes Dental group in April 2004. She is a member of the California Dental Hygiene Association and is Secretary of the Santa Clara Valley Dental Hygiene Association. Alisa is the owner of an English Bull dog named Shea.
Bonnie
Bonnie received her A.A.S. degree in Dental Hygiene from Broome Tech in Binghamton, New York in 1965. Today, she still drives the same Falcon she bought that same year she graduated. Bonnie is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association and began working at Hughes Dental Group in 1988. She is married to a wonderful man named Keith and has two children who are married to great spouses. She also has two granddaughters that she enjoys spending time with very much. Bonnie also loves to work with young children at her church. Some of her interests include digital photography and scrap booking. She also has a collection of dolls; her favorites are international ones, especially those handmade by ethnic people.
Lori
Lori attended San Jose City College and Evergreen College, graduating in 1994. She earned her degree in Dental Hygiene from Chabot College in 1996. Lori has been with Hughes Dental Group since August 2005. She is a member of the California Dental Hygiene Association and the American Dental Hygiene Association. Lori loves to garden, work out, and play with her four cats.
Minh
Minh earned a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from UC Davis in 2002. In 2007, he graduated from Foothill College with a degree in Dental Hygiene; he was the only male student in his class. Minh belongs to the American Dental Hygienist Association. He has been with Hughes Dental Group since October 2007. Minh is a fan of the SF 49ers, Golden State Warriors and the SF Giants. He also likes working on his car, trying new restaurants and reading comics.
Mark
Mark received his A.S. degree in dental lab technology in 1985 and two years later his A.S. degree in dental hygiene from Foothill College in Los Altos. He has been working at Hughes Dental Group for over 10 years, starting February 1999. Mark has three teenage children and one two year old. His father is a retired pediatrician of 30 years. Mark is a soccer and baseball coach and likes to play basketball and exercise. He is also a former singer/dancer and loves to cook and eat.
Saghi
Saghi received her A.A./A.S. degree in Dental Hygiene in June 2005 from Cabrillo College. She began working with Hughes Dental Group in September 2005. She is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. Saghi is married and expecting her first baby in September 2009. Saghi loves her profession and loves to help and educate her patients and the public.
